Akankwasa Children Centre is a registered non-profit organization based in Uganda, dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families through compassionate care, education, healthcare, nutrition, and community empowerment.
Founded on the belief that every child deserves a safe home, quality education, proper healthcare, and the opportunity to thrive, we work tirelessly to restore hope to children who have experienced poverty, neglect, abandonment, homelessness, and other difficult circumstances.
Our mission goes beyond meeting immediate needs—we strive to create lasting change by equipping children with the support, protection, and opportunities they need to build independent and meaningful lives.
Education Support
We provide school fees, uniforms, scholastic materials, and educational guidance to ensure children have access to quality education and the opportunity to achieve their dreams.
Healthcare
We connect children with medical care, regular health checkups, medication, nutritional support, and specialized treatment whenever necessary.
Feeding & Nutrition
Healthy children learn better. Through our feeding program, we provide nutritious meals and essential nutrition support to improve children's health and development.
Child Protection
We provide a safe, loving environment where vulnerable children are protected from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and homelessness.
Community Outreach
We partner with families and communities to identify vulnerable children, provide emergency assistance, and strengthen family support systems.
